Follow up about force close in fullscreen flash

i searched a bit about that and apparently ICS and above (4.0.x+) have problems with enabling fullscreen in flash animations. after some reading, ics above handles fullscreen in flash differently compared to how gingerbread below handles them. i have thought of a workaround for this but it might take a while for me to implement it so just wait for that update.

About Act 5...

Almost ready to post Act 4, just need to check out some flashes and images. after that, i was planning on cutting Act 5 into two parts:
Act 5-Act 1,
Act 5-Act 2.

problem with this is that Act 5 Act 2 has A LOT of pages and i'm sure i won't be able to fit it in one package. so right now, i'm planning on releasing it into three parts:
Act 5-Act 1,
Act 5-Act 2 part 1,
Act 5-Act 2 part 2.

so there.

Now seriously...

what am i doing wrong here? i STILL don't know how to fix the RPC: AEC: 0. Even the first app is affected now and i didn't even change much of its code. now i'm seriously blaming google for this one. for one thing, it's a server error so i'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the apk file or the code itself. it's just frustrating how the apps can't be downloaded "directly" from the play store app. ughhh.

Play Store Issues..

Apparently, an error occurs when downloading act 2. i tried it out and got an error, something like "rpc:aec:0" thing. based on initial search about the problem, from what i know, it's a play store app problem, not the app publishing. there seems to be some bugs in the play store involving downloading or updating apps. you can search the net on how to fix it: uninstall update of play store, clear cache, reboot device, and if that doesn't work, remove your google account and sign it back in. i haven't tested the last method as of yet but all the others don't work for me.

You can look for more ways on how to fix it, wait for google to fix it, or just download the app from the Play Store on the web. I tested this earlier and it works. A bit inconvenient but well worth it if you really want to download it.

I'll continue to look for ways to fix it, but for now, stick to the methods above.:D

Problems in publishing Act 2

ran into some problems while fixing the app for act 2.

first problem was about the images that resided in the text content. couldn't really do much to fix it, i'll continue to look for a better way. there were only about 2 pages of this so no biggy for now, as of act 2.

another problem was that some flash animations required internet access and therefore wouldn't load right in the application. again, only around 2 or 3 pages affected. to these problems, i made a work-around by letting people access the page itself through the menu. it's not a real fix and certainly beats the purpose of the app but as of now, it's the only solution i could think of. but i guarantee less than 5 pages look a bit off and fewer than that are really necessary for viewing online.

then came the application size. yes it's big, but what would you expect from a full act? problem with this was i had to re-publish the app due to google not allowing single apps to have a file size of over 50mb. i had to develop a compression scheme to shrink the app down to less than 50mb WITHOUT removing flash animations(except for those that won't work due to internet requirements), because that would really suck.

so bottom line, i just finished publishing act 2 so it might come up at a later time today.

Refurbishing previous themes and Update schedule

About Refurbishing:

LOWAS and LOHAC have been updated to version 1.5, changing the icon set of both. hopefully not too many are displeased with the change, specifically LOWAS: it looked a bit cluttered to me sorry. Also thinking about refurbishing other themes. don't worry, nothing much will change from them since i can't really think much on how to improve them. i'll mostly just change the image file types and change a few tab icons for a cleaner look.

About Update schedule:

you may have noticed i haven't been publishing new themes recently. this is due to real life issues and stuff i need to take care of for a while: specifically school and thesis stuff. i'll probably be done with it near the end of the month so expect new themes to come up near the end of July. also thinking about making an actual application for a change. i already have a few concept ideas, just need to figure out HOW to actually make them. i already have a basic knowledge in android development and hopefully java skills from school will help. just have to get off my lazy butt and code it. also having a problem with SELLING applications. i can't sell apps yet in my country. don't get me wrong, i love how i'm making homestuck themes and stuff for free, but i really want to try getting some revenue from this. well enough about that.

next theme will be Land of Brains and Fire (Sollux)
